Up the Mountain

Greetings!

As some of you know I am in Mexico to complete the third year of my spiritual commitment. This year I will be “on the mountain” (which is what we call the time during vision quest) for 9 days.

I will start on Saturday, April 16th and end Monday, April 25th.

During this time I will be fasting and abstaining from water. This is a sacred right of passage where often one receives visions.  The word vision quest is a little bit of a mistranslation though. The actual word “hamblechya” is Lakota and means, “to cry in the dark for a vision.”

Your prayers and good thoughts are welcomed while I am on the mountain. Amazingly, you can actual feel when people drink water for you!  On the mountain you often feel parched and fatigued but suddenly, a wave of juicy air moves over you and you feel rejuvenated. So drink half your body weight in ounces and think of me.

I will return to you a stronger and more aligned “Jedi master.”
